Description

Vitamin E has antioxidant properties and Selenium is vital for the maintenance of normal muscle tissue and maintaining the stability of red blood cells and the vascular system. A combination of Vitamin E and Selenium is important for the muscular health of performance horses.

An excess of Selenium is toxic, so supplementation should be considered carefully and the total percentage available in the daily diet should be noted.

For high levels of performance or for horses that are prone to muscle stiffness or cramp - use America Equine Tye-Gard®.

When should you feed Equine America Vitamin E and Selenium Powder?

To horses in high levels of work.
To horses on highly nutritious diets.
To horses on diets high in cod liver, linseed or corn oil.

How does Equine America Vitamin E and Selenium Powder work?

Vitamin E and Selenium are co-dependent in muscular health. Vitamin E is required to protect cells from damage by oxidation. It also acts with Selenium as a body 'stabiliser' ensuring stability of red blood cells and maintaining the integrity of the vascular system.

Ingredients

Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Dextrose, D-alpha Tocopherol Acetate (source of Vitamin E) 40mg/kg, Sodium Selenite, Vegetable Oil. Preserved with Ammonium Propionate.

Feeding Guidelines

For an average 500kg horse, feed 14g daily with the horse's regular feed. Feed others according to body weight, less for smaller horses and ponies, more for larger breeds.
