Description

Copper, which is present in all body cells, aids in the absorption and utilisation of iron, for blood cell production. Copper is also necessary for several enzymes involved in vital processes as well as regulating normal hair pigmentation.

Horses are very tolerant of copper but over supplementation can interfere with the absorption of zinc and iron.

How does it work?

Copper is present in all body cells and aids in the absorption and utilisation of Iron. Copper is also necessary for several enzymes as well as regulating the normal pigmentation of hair. Horses are very tolerant of copper but over supplementation can interfere with thr absorption of Zinc and Iron. A lack of Copper can show as anaemia, poor growth, hair de-pigmentation, weight loss and some bone disorders. Equine America Copper-Plus Powder supplies a high quality dietary copper along with supporting vitamins and minerals for absorption and ultilisation.

Ingredients

Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Vegetable Oil, Cupric Sulphate pentahydrate (Copper) 5,000mg/kg (added), Cobaltous Sulphate (Cobalt), Ammonium Propionate (preservative), Tocopherol (Vitamin E) 90mg/kg, Zinc Oxide and Sodium Selenite.

Feeding Guidelines

For an average 500kg horse, feed 20g daily with the horse's regular feed. Feed others according to weight, less for smaller horses and ponies, more for larger breeds.
